Mr. Carl Sabatino & MR. PETER Sciaino

Mr. Sabatino has been on the faculty of WPHS since the fall of 1989. He is the marching band director, music department coordinator, and director of WP's Wind Ensemble and Pit Orchestra. Mr. Sabatino holds an undergraduate degree in Music Education from William Paterson University and a masters degree in Wind Conducting from Hofstra University where he studied with Dr. Peter Loel Boonshaft. Mr. Sabatino has served as President and Vice President of the North Jersey Area Band and conducted the 2005 NJ Area Band Symphonic Band. Mr. Sciaino has taught at WPHS since the fall of 1997 after graduating from Syracuse University with a bachelors degree in Music Education. Mr. Sciaino serves as the marching band director and director of WP's Concert Band and Jazz Experience I. Mr. Sciaino has a masters degree in Music Performance and Composition from NYU's Jazz Studies department where he studied trumpet with Laurie Frink and composition with Jim McNeely. Mr. Sciaino is also a composer and is published with C.L. Barnhouse Company, C. Alan Publications, Carl Fischer Music, Excelcia Music Publishing, Wingert-Jones Publications and has had music selected for J.W. Pepper’s Editor’s Choice. He will also be published with Alfred Music beginning in 2021. Mr. Donald Fries

Donald Fries is the assistant marching band director and graduate of West Chester University where he majored education. His extensive marching band experience as a teacher and performer, having been a four-year member of the Incomparable Golden Rams Marching Band, is an asset to The Pride. Mr. Fries is currently a teacher of 1st grade in the Bloomfield (N.J.) Public Schools.
