Mr.  Carl Sabatino    &    MR.  PETER Sciaino

Mr. Sabatino has been on the faculty of WPHS since the fall of 1989.  He is the marching band director, music department coordinator, and director of WP's Wind Ensemble and Pit Orchestra.  Mr. Sabatino holds an undergraduate degree in Music Education from William Paterson University and a masters degree in Wind Conducting from Hofstra University where he studied with Dr. Peter Loel Boonshaft.  Mr. Sabatino has served as President and Vice President of the North Jersey Area Band and conducted the 2005 NJ Area Band Symphonic Band.  You can contact Mr. Sabatino by email at [email protected] or by calling the band office at 973-515-7688.

Mr. Sciaino has taught at WPHS since the fall of 1997 after graduating from Syracuse University with a bachelors degree in Music Education.  Mr. Sciaino serves as the marching band director and director of WP's Concert Band and Jazz Experience.  Mr. Sciaino has a masters degree in Music Performance and Composition from NYU's Jazz Studies department where he studied trumpet with Laurie Frink and composition with Jim McNeely. Mr. Sciaino is also a composer and is published with Alfred Music, C.L. Barnhouse Company, C. Alan Publications, Carl Fischer Music, Excelcia Music Publishing, RWS Music Company, Wingert-Jones Publications and has had many selections listed as J.W. Pepper’s Editor’s Choice. Mr. Sciaino has served as President and Vice President of the North Jersey Area Band and conducted the 2008 NJ Area Band Symphonic Band, as well as the 2011 NJAJE Junior Region One Jazz Ensemble.  You can contact Mr. Sciaino by email at [email protected] or by calling the band office at 973-515-7688.

Mr. Donald  Fries

Donald Fries is the assistant marching band director and graduate of West Chester University where he majored education.  His extensive marching band experience as a teacher and performer, having been a four-year member of the Incomparable Golden Rams Marching Band, is an asset to The Pride.  Mr. Fries is currently a teacher of 1st grade in the Bloomfield (N.J.) Public Schools.

Mrs. Elisa Fries

Elisa Fries is a teacher of music in the Denville (N.J.) Township Schools and a color guard instructor with The Pride.  After graduating from Whippany Park High School in 2003, Mrs. Fries went to West Chester University where she was a four-year member of the Incomparable Golden Rams Marching Band and captain of WCU's color guard.

Mr.  DYLAN  LLOYD

Dylan Lloyd is currently pursuing a degree in Music Production while serving The Pride as a percussion assistant.  Mr. Lloyd is also a freelance percussionist in northern New Jersey.

MRs. Devon  Goldberg

Devon Goldberg is has been a color guard instructor with The Pride since 2013. Mrs. Goldberg is a 2005 graduate of Whippany Park High School and a 2009 graduate of Rutgers University.  While at Rutgers she was a member of the Scarlet Knights Color Guard and performed in the Insight Bowl, the Texas Bowl, and the International Bowl.


MR.  RYAN  GRASSO

Ryan Grasso is a graduate of York College of Pennsylvania where he earned a degree in Music.  He is currently serving The Pride as a percussion assistant.  Mr. Grasso is also a freelance percussionist in northern New Jersey.
